Patients feel extremely limited, when facial proportions look disharmonious because of anomal positions of the jaw bones. Harmonising the position of the jaw joint can be effectuated at all ages as it is based on functional and aesthetic features.
Oral and maxillo-facial surgery offers operative corrections, even in difficult cases, with dysgnathical surgery. After detailed consultation with the confering colleague/ orthodontist and counselling with the patient, the interventions in central facial areas, the lower jaw or both jaws can be realised.
